Research Triangle Branch-American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (RTB-AALAS) is the local branch of AALAS (American Association for Laboratory Animal Science), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational association, dedicated to advancing and disseminating knowledge about the responsible care and use of laboratory animals for the benefit of human and animal health.
RTB-AALAS draws from an area with diverse and expansive opportunities in research, technology and development. The Research Triangle Park has been rated #3 nationally in technology and development. There are 309 members, including technicians, vendors, veterinarians, and investigators. The RTB-AALAS sponsors a number of activities including technician night, an award's banquet, and educational opportunities. Quarterly meetings begin with a business meeting and refreshments, followed by a speaker presentation. Come join RTB-AALAS! It is a fun way to get to know your peers in North Carolina.
